Cookie Policy

Effective August 22, 2026 · The Trinity Integrative Holistic Medicine & Counseling Services LLC

This page explains what this website — and the Trinity mobile app — store on your device, why, and how to clear it. The short version: we use the minimum needed to keep you signed in and to remember the choices you have made. We do not run advertising cookies, we do not sell anything about you, and we do not let other companies track you across the internet from here.

What a “cookie” means here

“Cookie” is the common word, but most of what we store is not technically a cookie. Browsers offer several small storage areas — cookies, local storage and session storage — and this policy covers all of them, plus the equivalent storage the mobile app uses on your phone. Treat every mention of “cookie” below as covering all of it.

What we store, and why

Strictly necessary — always on

Without these the site cannot do what you asked it to. They cannot be switched off from within the site, because switching them off means signing you out.

  • Your sign-in session. Set by our authentication provider (Supabase) when you use a magic link. It is what keeps you signed in between pages and visits, and it is the only thing standing between your portal and someone else.
  • Where you were signing in from. When you request a sign-in link, the page you asked from is kept in your browser for up to an hour so the portal can return you to it. It is read once and deleted, and never leaves your device.
  • Your shopping cart. What you have added, so it survives a refresh.
  • Security and abuse prevention. Short-lived values that stop the same form being submitted over and over by automated traffic.

Your preferences

These exist only to stop the site asking you the same thing twice.

  • Day or night mode.
  • Accessibility choices — larger text, higher contrast, the dyslexia-friendly typeface, reduced motion, the readable cursor and the screen reader.
  • Whether the ambient music is playing or muted.
  • Whether you have seen the welcome invitation, so it greets you only once.
  • Which audit board or portal tab you last had open, if you are staff.

What we do NOT use

  • No advertising or re-targeting cookies.
  • No selling or sharing of your information with data brokers.
  • No third-party trackers following you to other websites.
  • No health information in any cookie. Anything you write in the portal — screenings, journal entries, tracker data — is stored in your account on our secured database, never on your device as a cookie, and never in a web address.

Services that set their own

A few embedded services set storage of their own when you use them. Each is there because it does a job the site needs, and each has its own policy:

  • Supabase — authentication and the database behind your account.
  • Stripe — payments and fraud prevention, when you buy something or start a membership. We never see or store your full card number.
  • SimplePractice — the secure booking portal, which opens in its own window.
  • Embedded media — YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud and Substack players on pages that carry them, and Google Maps on the contact section.

The mobile app

The Trinity app stores the same two things on your phone: your sign-in session and your preferences. It uses your device's own secure storage rather than browser cookies. It contains no advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics, and it asks for a system permission only when a feature you have opened actually needs one. Deleting the app removes everything it stored locally; your account itself lives on our servers and is unaffected until you ask us to close it.

Your choices

  • Clear it all. Every browser can clear cookies and site data — usually under Settings, Privacy. On a phone, deleting the app clears its storage. You will be signed out, and your preferences will reset.
  • Block it all. You can block cookies for this site entirely. Browsing, reading and the self-assessments still work; signing in and the cart will not, because they have nowhere to remember you.
  • Sign out. The account panel's sign-out button clears your session on that device.

Changes

If what we store changes, this page changes with it and the effective date above moves. Material changes will be noted on the site rather than made quietly.

Asking us about it

Questions are welcome — including “what do you have on me and will you delete it?”. Reach us through the contact page. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

This policy covers the website and the mobile app. It is not a substitute for the separate notice you receive as a client of the practice, which governs your protected health information.
